  1. Tolkien's World of Middle-Earth inspired me to make an entire Hobbit+LOTR themed album. If you enjoy this please check it out here: Physical: http://bit.ly/LVOfficialLOTRAlbum Digital Versions: http://smarturl.it/peterhollensmusic — It's called "Misty Mountains: Songs Inspired by The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings"

  2. someone should make a movie about the Middle-earth but like of regular life of the people and their drinking songs etc..

  3. That moment you get so drunk that you learn to make exact copies of yourself for the sake of a YouTube video.

  4. I was immediately like, "HANK GREEN?!" I watch a lot of SciShow and PBS Eons so that's where I recognized him from.

  5. This makes me want one of two things: either a cool night, a comfy chair, a pint of ale, a cigarillo, and a Tolkien book open upon my lap, OR my friends and I dressed in garb having a Middle-Earth pub night!

  6. Only after knowing this song for 2 years did I realize that I recognized Hank, the guy who talks about science and showed in every science class ever.

  7. They are too good at singing. They try to sound nice, but drinking songs aren't supposed to sound that "classically good"

  8. Can’t believe there are people in this world that only know Hank from crash course, they’re really missing out tbh

  9. Bofur's Song Lyrics

    There is an inn, a inn, a merry old inn
    beneath an old grey hill,
    And there they brew a beer so brown
    That the Man in the Moon himself came down
    One night to drink his fill.

    The ostler has a tipsy cat
    that plays a five-stringed fiddle;
    And up and down he saws his bow,
    Now squeaking high, now purring low,
    Now sawing in the middle.

    So the cat on his fiddle played hey-diddle-diddle,
    a jig that would wake the dead:
    He squeaked and sawed and quickened the tune,
    While the landlord shook the Man in the Moon:
    'It's after three!' he said.

    Now quicker the fiddle went deedle-dum-diddle;
    the dog began to roar,
    The cow and the horses stood on their heads;
    The guests all bounded from their beds
    and danced upon the floor.

    The round Moon rolled behind the hill
    as the Sun raised up her head.
    She hardly believed her fiery eyes;
    For though it was day, to her surprise
    they all went back to bed!
